As they settled in quietly, the nurse began asking different questions, all having to do with Hyuna’s general health, after writing all of this out on paper she then began to explain the most accurate form of pregnancy detection, which of course, was a blood test. Hyuna cringed at the thought, she hated needles and they made her squirm endlessly. As the nurse was prepping her equipment, Hyuna kept her head low, she didn’t even want to chance a look over.
Jumping slightly at the cold disinfectant the nurse cleaned her arm with, she squeezed Hoya’s hand as the nurse began talking though the routine, finding a vein and sticking the needle in, drawing out the appropriate amount of blood, which to Hyuna, felt as though it were taking an eternity. She breathed a sigh of relief when it was over but became extremely nervous as the nurse left the room to have the crimson liquid tested.
Hoya smiled and rubbed Hyuna’s palm with his fingers soothingly, he knew how much she hated needles of any kind; but he knew that she realised it was all for the better cause. They needed to know the result, it was going to be life changing no matter what—even if it came back negative, Hoya and Hyuna would have a slightly different outlook on life having had a scare.
“Don’t worry…this will all be done with soon Hyuna.” Tilting her face to kiss her softly on the lips, Hoya repeated his action several times, knowing how she felt at that moment in time. “And no matter what this result is, I won’t love you any less… okay?” Pressing his lips to her forehead, several agonizing moments passed before the nurse returned.
